12th International Coral Reef Symposium

Every four years the International Society for Reef Studies (ISRS) sanctions a major international scientific conference which provides the latest knowledge and leading edge technologies about coral reefs worldwide. The ICRS 2012 Symposia Themes will include: Reefs through time; Palaeonthology; Evolution, biogeography and taxonomy; Biophysical processes; Technologies for coral reefs science; Physiology and functional biology; Genomic approaches to coral reef biology; Ocean acidification; Climate change and bleaching; Modelling reef futures; Ecological dynamics, resilience and phase shifts; Life histories and reproduction; Fish and fisheries; Larval ecology, recruitment and connectivity; Biodiversity and systematics; Microbes and viruses; The Coral triangle Initiative; Management and monitoring; Human impacts on coral reefs; Restoration of coral reefs; Water quality impacts and management; Social, economic and cultural perspectives. Abstract submission will close on October 1st 2011. Early bird registration will be available until March 1st 2012.
