Brussels, 24 May 2011
The Commission has released a "blueprint" for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to boost creativity and innovation. But technological evolution and the growing importance of online activities have changed the world in which IPR operate. The existing mix of European and national rules need to be modernised, too. This is why the Commission has adopted a comprehensive strategy to revamp the legal framework of IPR. More information may be found here.
