SPECIAL Open day in Israel
October 17th at the President's Residence
Once a year, the residence of the President of Israel hosts an open-door event highlighting national achievements in science, technology and welfare. This year, the focus of the event was the quality of the environment with exhibits and activities dedicated to the whole family.
Of course, SPECIAL was there, too! The SPECIAL team from Tel Aviv University set up an exhibit featuring sponges, aquaria and lab materials from real case-studies related to blue biotechnology. The event lasted the whole morning and approximately one thousand visitors have attended, including the President of Israel himself, Mr Shimon Peres.
