Lower invertebrate symbiosis with microorganismsEilat, February 26 - March 2, 2012The international workshop "Lower Invertebrate Symbiosis with Microorganisms" will be held (mostly in Eilat, Israel) on February 26-March 2. Guests from abroad will have to arrive to Tel Aviv by Saturday 25 February 2012. The presentations will be given by faculty members from various Israeli university as well as from prominent international guests. Participants will also presents their results in poster sessions. Lasting six days, the workshop will also feature field and hands-on sessions, plus three talks open to the general public to be given at Tel Aviv University. Topics to be cover will include: Symbioses from chemosynthetic ecosystems; Genomic Insights into marine sponge microbiome; New vistas in coral microbiology; Genome mining of non-culturable symbiotic microorganisms; Identification of metabolic pathways and novel natural products; Newly-discovered symbiotic associations. Registration fees (students 250$, non students 380$) will cover participation in all workshop events, Tel Aviv - Eilat bus transportation, Accommodation in Eilat for 4 nights (3 pax sharing room), meals, coffee breaks.
