Science in Dialogue - Towards a European Model for

Responsible Research and Innovation

The EU Presidency conference Science in Dialogue will outline different perspectives on how to further develop the dialogue and interaction between science and society. It will discuss how researchers, innovators and key stakeholders in society can become more mutually responsive and improve cooperation. The objectives of the conference are to: Offer a platform for stakeholders to discuss and reflect on the interaction and dialogue between science and society; Provide input on aspects of a European model for Responsible Research and Innovation; Provide input to future instruments for research funding; Promote a basis for the successful solution of the grand challenges in Horizon 2020; Facilitate the formation of professional networks, knowledge sharing, and exchange of best practices. The conference invites policymakers, civil servants, research institutions, business representatives, science communicators and civil society to discuss the relationship between science, innovation and the society as a whole.
